Peanut made a break for it. She took off, and we did not notice that she was gone for quite a while. Needless to say, we felt like the worst pet parents ever, especially since she did not have her tags on because they broke a year ago. I will be going very soon to get her a new one. Anyway, I drove around the subdivision for an hour or so, but nothing. After dinner, Andy and I drove around more and hung lots of signs. Our biggest hope was that someone saw her wandering around and took pity upon her. She is very docile, to say the least. Our signs paid off! The postman called us around one today and told us that someone had mentioned finding a dog yesterday, but our signs were not up at that point. Luckily, he put two and two together and now she is home. Meagan and Nati have been giving her lots of love. We were so scared as to what would happen to her, but it all turned out OK.
