My Big Girl is 11!

Meagan is eleven.
That seems crazy to me.
I am pretty sure I start all birthday blog entries the same way.
It is, though, particularly hard to believe she is eleven.
This year has been one of tremendous growth for Meagan.
She has matured so much in school.
Her teacher definitely noticed, and since he has had her for two years, he knows.
She managed to get through the loss of her grandmother, who she loved very much.
She spoke at her funeral with poise.
Grandma Lois would have been proud of her for that and for many other things.
Dance is still huge for her.
We are hoping that we will be able to get a transfer for Meagan so that she can come to the middle school that I teach at and that many of her friends will be attending.
She does her middle school visit, actually, next week.
She is nervous to move on but excited as well.
I kind of feel the same way.
I am so proud of her compassion and big, big, heart.
She is loyal and kind.
She is beautiful and talented.
Happy birthday, Meagan Alyssa!

A Little Bit Crazy

 Matthew loves his swimming lessons.
He used to really, really love his swimming lessons because he had the coolest teacher.
Caleb left to start his own gym, though.
Matthew has adjusted to his new teacher.
I do not know why we put his socks on his ears.
It made me laugh, though.
Believe it or not, baby Jenny has never reappeared.
It is very sad.
Natalie still loves baby Timmy, however.

And yes, we ALL love Chloe.
The kids make sure to love on Peanut and Charli too.
They don't want the others to feel sad.

Chloe, and a Little Bit of Jack

Chloe, up close and personal.
She loves to be up close and personal.
She loves Andy best, but she will cuddle with all of us.
She is a happy little thing.
She was very sad and didn't want to eat when she first arrived.
She is fine with eating now!
Her brother Jack, below on the left, left for California.
I am not really sure that she noticed he was gone.
He liked to be right next to her.
She wants people love most.
We are all enjoying having her.
I think she helps all of us feel a little bit better.

Chloe is Adjusting Well

Chloe, my mom's pug is doing well.
Her brother Jack is on a road trip to California.
She adores Andy.
She loves to sleep right where she is this photo.

Target

I suppose my kids have inherited my love of Target.
I

okay

We are okay.
We are keeping busy.
Of course, there is much to do.
Brian and Brian just left.
Brian D is way more efficient at cleaning out my mom's house than my brother and I.
Every time we open a drawer, a box, and envelope, we find memories.
I feel lost and like I have forgotten to do something.
It hasn't even been a month yet.
I'm still not sure this is real.
