Happy Birthday Andy/Happy Mother's Day Sharon

The weather was amazing this weekend and we had to take advantage.  We headed off to Corpus Christi, more specifically North Padre.  We prefer it because it is a bit more secluded and quiet.  We also went to the USS Lexington museum, which I have always wanted to do.  I am a history nerd and there were all kinds of neat things for all of us to see.  The photo above is as you walk up to the ship.

Meagan in the ship jail.

The kids really loved the airplanes and other replicas that they were able to sit in or play with.

Here you go: the downside of this getaway.  There was seaweed everywhere.  I mean, everywhere. The kids got a new boogieboard and just headed in with no complaints.  Matthew was a bit more hesitant.  However, the 82 (!??!) high in mid May made up for the seaweed.
