Crummy weekend

After returning to work, I was really excited for a long weekend. We headed off to Houston and had a good time. The ride home, however, was horrible. We were stopped at a stoplight in Bastrop, just minding our own business, when CRASH!!! Our car was rear ended by a woman who told us her brakes just would not work. I don't know if she just didn't see the stoplight or her brakes really did fail, but either way, it was a pretty serious accident. Andy and the girls are OK, thank God. The car, however, did not fare as well. I do not think that I will be driving it for a very long time. Currently it is down in Bastrop where it was towed, but hopefully we can get the insurance rolling on it soon. We are so thankful to Brian G. who drove all the way to Bastrop to get us! Meagan, to add insult to injury, got a case of the stomach flu yesterday. We are home today, but I think she will be fine to go to school tomorrow. Natalie will be starting the "big girl" room on Wednesday!

It's too bad that such a nice day in Houston had to end with a car accident. Unfortunately, accidents happen anywhere, and we are so grateful that none of you were injured. Soon the car will be feeling better, too.

Or not! Rest in peace, Pathfinder. I sure enjoyed you for 12 months.

glad to hear that you all are okay! Maybe you need to get the 4-runner back?

Poor Pathfinder. May I recommend a hybrid SUV?

Look at all the styles you can find at Edmunds.com.

Ooh, so class, so roomy, yet so fuel efficient. Don't you want to help ensure that your children will take custody of a clean world? Don't ya? Don't ya?
