First Week of School

We survived the first week of school.
It went pretty smoothly, all in all.
The kids love their teachers.
Meagan loves being the oldest on school.
Apparently on Fridays 5th graders can sit anywhere in the cafeteria.
This is a big deal.
Natalie's teacher has cool rewards.
She can't wait to earn them.
Matthew misses his friends who moved on to Kindergarten.
He wants to go to Kinder too.
I moved up with my students.
This certainly makes getting to know them much easier.
We are all pretty worn out.
I am very thankful for Labor Day.

I am special too!!!

Matthew goes to montessori.
He has been in the same room since the month before he turned 3.
He will be almost 6 when he leaves next summer.
That is lots of time in the same room!
He loves his teachers and they love him.
Meagan felt badly that Matthew didn't have a sign, so she made him one.
He was so proud.

First Day of 5th and 3rd.

Meagan is a fifth grader.
This is really weird.
I can't believe this is her last year at Sommer.
She is with her same teacher this year because he looped up with his class.
Very happy!

Natalie has a new teacher.
She seems very nice.
The best part is that her friend Chaarvi is in her class.
They ahve been friends since the 18 mo classroom at Faith Montessori.

Goodbye, yet again, to a sweet summer

It is Sunday night.
I have not cared for two months that it was Sunday.
I do today.
Goodbye, summer.

Girl Camp

The girls went to a cool camp this week.
It was girls only.
I try not to encourage stuff like that, but this was right up their alley.
They still went rock climbing and swimming, but they also made bath salts, bath bombs, and glitter body cream.
They loved it.
The camp was at Lifetime, but separate.
They also got to go on a field trip to Foodie Kids.
The woman in the top photo is Jodie, the director of all camps at Lifetime.
The girl below is Shelby, the girls' favorite counselor.

The kids made duct tape bags.
The put all of their bath supplies in the bag.

NEW baby!

 No need for fear.
I am not insane and/or pregnant.
Natalie can not find baby Jenny.
She has looked everywhere.
She has disappeared before, but never for too long.
Natalie is almost nine.
We kind of figured she would be over baby dolls, but in many ways, Natalie is still young.
Not in a bad way, because trust me, I would have worried about it.
She just loves her dolls.
We went to San Angelo last weekend with Julie and Becky and they had an adorable general mercantile.
Tons of random things, but Natalie acted like the baby dolls had beacons on them or something.
They were very nice dolls, definitely.
I found one of the least expensive ones.
I wasn't sure if she would like the baby boy doll.
She did, very much.
Immediately, she named him Tim or Timmy.
I was informed that we should not call him Timothy.
The cutest thing is how much Matthew loves him.
He rocks Timmy, gives him piggy back rides, and kisses him.
He brought Timmy for Show and Tell today.
That is a big deal in the world of preschoolers.
WELCOME Timmy!
