UT Women's Basketball

Andy and the girls went with Meagan's friend Makenzie and his dad to the UT Women's game against K-State.
We are always happy to have a reason to cheer against K-State, so off they went.
Only Andy would wear a Jayhawk shirt at a UT game.
The kids really had a blast!
They came home all gung-ho UT.

Meagan's Birthday Party

We did a sleepover this year.
We kept it smaller than usual.
Andy and I wanted to avoid drama as much as possible.
Meagan and my mom had begun planning a black and white Hollywood party.
The theme wasn't superstrong, but we had the kids wear black and white.
They decorated their own Hollywood star, like the ones in California.
We played some Minute to Win it games.
This one was the kids moving Tic Tacs from one bowl to another using toothpicks.
The kids also made structures out of marshmallows and toothpicks and a few other fun games.
Meagan requested her favorite foods.
She had pizza, pasta, veggies and dips.
It was a great party all in all.
Meagan has some awesome, sweet friends.
Almost all of them have been friends for quite a while.
The picture below is of the kids wearing their new Pjs from Grandma Sandi and Papa Bob for Valentine's Day.
Of course, Natalie wore her Cleopatra headpiece.

A Few Days Late, But Photos of the Birthday Girl

Meagan was a great sport at a 5 year old's birthday party.
She was the oldest one.
Nati was a great sport too, but it wasn't quite as obvious how big she was!
Meagan decided to just have fun.
The people at the party place made her feel special, though, and did her makeup.
A few days later she came on her middle school tour to the school I work at.
She is beyond excited.
I am glad.
The one thing I am not so pumped up about is that she is interested in taking French.
We live in Texas.
French doesn't seem to make much sense.
But, I am happy that she has positive feelings about moving on.
She says quite often how much she will miss elementary school.
It has been a great place for her and I am so thankful.
We have not had one teacher that I have worried about in the least.
I know I am lucky.
Her current teacher is an excellent combination of loving and strict, with some humor thrown in as well.
Perfect for Meagan.
It will be an adjustment to have 7 teachers, for sure.
Maybe as much for me as for her.
The bottom picture, if you can't really tell, is of both of us wearing the same shirt.
It is not literally the same shirt, but the similarity was there.
I know that I am at the end of my time where my kid would want to wear the same thing as me.
I never got into that, much to the regret of my mom.
She wanted me to buy matching outfits with Meagan, even when she was a toddler.
Not my thing.
But when she pointed out this shirt, and when I saw it was pretty cute, I didn't hesitate.
I had just gotten out of the shower here, so excuse the hair.
