Whoo hoo! I got it to work!

I have no idea, but today my Zoom Browser is working. I was really bummed out because it had always been so easy. I just stuck the card in and Zoom Browser popped up. Well, it worked today, so I am jumping in despite my lack of good photos. The top photo is Nat dressed as daddy, and two others are of crazy Matthew. The bottom is another dress up courtesy Natalie.

I am so annoyed. I can't make my computer download photos...again. I hate this stupid thing.

"I am bored, Mommy!"

We are only three days into break, but that seems to be the theme of vacation. I have tried to do something fun with them each day, but they are less than impressed. We are sort of bound by Matthew needing a nap. Tomorrow we are off to decorate some cookies with friends so hopefully that will appeal to my princesses!

2010 Channukah

The kids are enjoying the festivities as always. Meagan's big gift from her grandparents was a Nintendo DSi. She loves it. Natalie got a doll that all of us consider to be rather creepy. It walks, talks, all that jazz. As for Matthew, he still has gifts from his birthday that sit unopened, so we haven't really done gifts for him. Soon enough he will be chiming in with his sisters asking for things!

Fun Playdate

Meagan had a fun playdate with some Davis Spring kiddos today. They crack me up when they all get together.

Mayhem

I turned my head for 10 minutes to get the girls from the bathtub, and this is what I came out to see. I keep a bin that holds much of Matthew's clothes in it because it is easier to have them in my room. They were all neatly folded. Let's just say they look different now.

....so the computer isn't working at 100%. Not an excuse, so better update blog tomorrow!

Not again...

I took Matthew for his one year check up. Gotta say, my little guy is a chunky little thing! He weighs 23 lbs and is 30 inches long. He was born at 5 lb 13 oz and 18 inches long, so he has done some major growing. All of that was good, but he won't even bear any weight on his legs and the pediatrican is recommending a therapy assessment. She is afraid with a family history of late development that Matthew is heading down the same road. It isn't a big deal and I know that he will eventually do everything that he is supposed to do, but I hadn't even thought about therapy yet. There is always something to worry about as a parent.

Just chillin'

We attempted today to go to Marmalade Skies, a do it yourself art place, but they aren't open on Wednesdays. That is a bummer. We went instead over to Lakeshore Learning where Meagan bought a "dinosaur"egg that you chip away at for a while until you find the dino inside. Much cheaper than Marmalade Skies, but I still would have liked to spend our Early Release afternoon that way.

Matthew is everywhere, and I can't get him to sit still to take a photo. The dogs are also everywhere, but the old lady, Pokie, rarely moves. She is a much easier subject for a picture. Our poor first baby is getting up there in years; she is 12.

Day at Zilker Park

We took the kids to Zilker Park early this weekend to try to avoid the heat. They all had a good time. The train is always a hit.
Speaking of things being a hit, it appears that Peanut and Pokie love their new doggy bed. I love when they snuggle up like that. So cute...

Elizabeth was so sweet and watched Natalie and Matthew last week. She captured this fun photo of Matthew trying to be a Penn State fan. I think the worried look is because he is wishing there was a Jayhawk on that hat!

Natalie has been feeding Matthew a lot lately. She enjoys the one on one time with him, especially now that Meagan is in school and she is the only one at home with him for a bit. As you can see, allowing her to help involves a big cleanup, but it is worth it. She feels responsible for her little brother. Feeding him involves her making multiple animal noises and her saying, "Come on little lion," or, "Come on little bear, eat your food." I enjoy watching her. Now I have to go clean his tray off (as well as his face and upper body!)

First Day of First Grade

A fun night

Our friends Garrett, Mayme, Adam, and James came over last night for dinner. We even managed to play outside some, but that was shortlived because Matthew started really overheating. Mayme and I took the kids upstairs and they had a blast with the train table, the blue tunnel, and the kitchen.

It is starting early!

I knew that the girls would begin dressing Matthew up at some point, but it has begun early. He is pretty laid back, so he doesn't fight it too much. You can see his distaste for it in the middle photo though. The girls love dress up and they liked turning Matthew into a flower and a cheerleader. We need to go get some manly man dressup outfits!

In the typically late fashion of my sweet family, Matthew has begun crawling. He will be 10 months on Saturday, which isn't actually that late. He isn't doing the traditional crawl; rather he pulls and scoots himself, but he moves pretty fast none the less. He has also begun clapping, which is super cute.

More computer issues!

My router isn't working, so I can't use the computer that I normally post photos on. Geek Squad is coming on wed....

Getting pretty

Sometimes during summer break we get a little bit bored. Or actually, I should say that Meagan gets bored and says, "I am soooooo bored, Mommy. I want to do something." Often times we will play glamour girl and she gets all fancy. Today she put on one of her favorite dresses and liberally applied sparkly lip gloss. Fancy, indeed! It kept her occupied for a good fifteen minutes. :-P

Corpus Christi and San Antonio

We just got back from our little road trip to San Antonio and Corpus Christi. Fun was had by all. We started off with a horrible traffic filled ride down south, but we enjoyed the time on the Riverwalk. Meagan and Natalie got some great hats. Saturday we woke up early (do we ever wake up late? No.) and drove to Corpus. The aquarium is small, but it is nice. The beach was nicer than Galveston and the hotel we had was wonderful due to it's literally being on the beach.
