Musical Theater Final Show

 Big final play for the girls' musical theater class.

Meagan was a mirror.  You can see it in Andy's hands above.

Natalie was an old lady, specifically an old weeping lady.

It was really cute!  

Kendall, Meagan's sweet friend, and her mom Mandy came to watch.

I love that they are still so close despite being at different schools.

 Nat wants us to order her a wig since she was not allowed to keep hers.

Luckily, she was able to keep that lovely outfit and pearls.

There were actually two performances.  

The girls had to be in East Austin at 3, but our show that we were attending was at 5:30.

The weather totally cooperated.

We walked around the Pecan Street festival for an hour or so.

Matthew loved this fan.

The photo came out really funny.

There was a petting zoo with lots of animals.

Matthew really liked the turtle, who appeared to really like him too.

It followed him all over the pen.

Of course, we had to get the fancy fresh fruit popsicle too.

It was funny for it to be Andy, me and Matthew.

We are often alone with one kid, but very unusual to be one on one with both parents.

He felt very special.

Afterwards we went to a restaurant called Counter Culture.

It was vegan.

Nope. 

I do not like vegan and the kids REALLY do not like Vegan.

Totally cool with vegetarian.

But no milk or eggs?

Didn't work.

A Few Random Photos

 We went to a 3rd birthday party this weekend.
Meagan loved the guinea pig.

 We went to some open houses to get ideas Sunday.
Of course, we had to check out the park!

Matthew's Friend's Birthday

 Matthew sometimes says he is going to marry Ki'yan, Ms.Keyona's daughter.

She is super cute.

One of those toddlers you just want to pick up and cuddle.

Sometimes Matthew says he is going to meet his wife in kindergarten.

Regardless of whom he marries, he went to Ki'yan's birthday party on Saturday.

Natalie wanted to come too.

It was out in Pflugerville at a new park that we had not been to before.

It was really nice!

There were neat structures on which to climb and there appeared to be dog areas as well.

I want to go back.

The party was very fun as well.  

It was a Doc McStuffins theme and they went all out.

We had an eventful day yesterday.

All three dogs escaped.

Twice.

Yes, twice.

It was not a good day.

Thank heavens someone had taken Peanut into their garage.  

She was the only one truly determined to escape.

Meagan and Natalie were crying in the backseat as we searched for her.

All is well now.

A Whole Lot of Busy

We have been doing quite a bit.

I think my parents' house is ready to go on the market.

It does go up on April 16th.

It is good that neither Brian nor I are really attached to the house.

My parents only lived there a few years.

Still, all of the throwing things away and cleaning has been hard, both physically and emotionally.

We have been working a ton on our own home.

Actually, Andy has been working way more than me.

I have to take care of the pesky every day things like laundry, cooking, etc, to my defense.

Our family is also busy with the STAAR.

I am tutoring a lot.

The girls are getting ready for the test too.

Matthew is getting more and more pumped up for elementary school, although he is nervous too.

Lately, his newest thing is that he doesn't like chocolate.

Joe and Alice gave him an Easter basket and it had a white chocolate bunny.

He was so excited.

I don't think he understands that it is called white "Chocolate."

But, really, he is the smarter one because it isn't true chocolate.

He called them to tell them he loves his treats "bery, bery much."

Cutie pie.

Natalie told me yesterday that she has an imagination problem.

I asked what that meant.

She said that she just has to use her imagination "ALL the time!"

Spring Break

 This was not going to be a "fun" Spring Break.

We had a lot of work to do.

Brian was here for most of the break, but we had tasks each day.

We tried to break it up some.

We went to the Salt Lick and the carnival at the Dell Diamond.

Met Ben, my cousin, down at SXSW, but it rained.

Great to see him but didn't really get to hear music.

I am sure we will next year.

We do have big news, though.

No, no more babies.

But, we are building a house.

It is very close to our current one.

We are very excited.

Lots of work to do at our house in the meantime.

Next weekend is Brian and Jan's wedding.

Julie, another cousin, welcomed baby Claiborne on Thursday.

We are all excited to meet her.

We made the best of a sad "vacation."

Matthew was jumping up and down yesterday though that he "gets" to go to school today.

Mostly, I think that is a testament to his sweet teachers, but it probably doesn't say much for how much fun he had over break either. :P
